The owner came greeted me & made sure I was ok.The bitter leaf soup was everything. Cleanness, atmosphere friendly was on point. Nice portions & good prices.
By far the best Nigerian food spot in the DMV. It filled me up and the price is unbeatable!! The food was so good I forgot to record and capture the jollof rice. The smell alone was divine. Chefs kiss. Coming here again!!
I ordered the Egusi sound and pounded yam fufu. This was only my second time trying it. The previous spot I got it from was a bit too spicy for me. However; this was DELICIOUS! I will be trying new items in the future.
Hidden gym in Baltimore! Don’t expect the red carpet treatment; however, staff are helpful in assisting you with making a food selection. Very clean and great musical vibes. Food: every-time I’ve come, I’ve always tried to order something different. To try new and exotic things. Always happy and satisfied. FLAVORFUL, tender, and hot. I have no complaints. The food has gotten smaller over the last year but I’m still left satisfied. *Try the OHA soup
My first time getting takeout here last night & the food was good and hot! I only took a few bites when I left (due to my fast) and it knocked me right out lol. The cashier was very nice and patient with me while taking my order, and I didn’t wait long for the food to come out either. The plantains were soft and sweet just how I like it. The jollof rice was good, but I would’ve loved it to be super spicy (I love very spicy foods lol) but the curry goat was very spicy just like I requested & the meat was tender and juicy. Very reasonable prices too! If takeout slaps like that, I could only imagine what the dine-in experience will give I will definitely be back!!
I can honestly say that the last couple of times I've visited the service has drastically improved. Thankfully, they made an improvement to the interior for it to be more inviting & it smells soooo much better. Before, I'd be holding my breath when I entered as the smell was beyond overpowering & stuck to your clothes also. You get ample portions of jollof rice & the meat pieces are big as well. I do wish that they filled up the Egusi & other soup portions in the bowl. I always have to pick out bones though in the Egusi soup before I attempt to eat it. It's better to pay with cash as they charge a fee on top of tax to use a card. Parking is on the street & usually non-existent.
I love love love this food!!! I always get egusi with fufu. It’s the right amount of salty and added spices! I’ve never had anything like it and I always come back for more!!!!!! My favorite African cuisine restaurant. 5/5 definitely recommend.
I came from out of state with my family and decided to eat lunch here. The restaurant was cozy, cool and quiet. We ordered white rice and stew, Oha soup and egusi soup. Our food arrived few minutes later pipping hot and delicious! It reminded us of Nigeria. The food was so delicious that we wanted to thank the chef — the owner. We ordered more for takeout and can’t wait to return again. The food was reasonably priced too.
